The Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council proudly presents spRinGeey, a collection of springtime artworks hand made by the artist Amy Beth Wright specifically forher first solo exhibition at the Texarkana Regional Arts Center.
This is Wright's largest solo show to date and includes over 90 never seen before artworks - exuberant large, medium, and small scale original paintings as well as sound works and interactive sculpturesinspired by her mini studio residency last year at her aunt’s tropical garden in Galveston. This exhibition also addresses her ideas about the possibilities of paint, community, meditation, and time.
The opening reception will be held Easter Weekend, Saturday, March 31 from 6:30-8:00pm. 20% of the proceeds from sales of the art will benefit TRAHC. Wine and light snacks will be served at the opening, and a yoga class with nidra meditation will be held in the space later this spring led by Wright’s closest friend and certified yoga instructor, Michelle Bonich.
