TRAHC Announces 28th Annual Juried Exhibition Winners
It was a festive evening on Friday, July 8 as TRAHC hosted the opening reception for the 28th Annual Regional Juried Exhibition at the Regional Arts Center. The reception and the exhibition were both sponsored by E-Z Mart Stores, Inc. The public and art patrons joined TRAHC Staff and WFA volunteers in celebrating all the artists and artwork selected for display in this year's event.
All submissions were reviewed and judged by Ann Prentice Wagner, PhD, Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Arkansas Arts Center, Little Rock, Arkansas. This year's winners include:
Best of Show - “Tethered ” by Nicole Brisco
First Place - “ Transceiver ” by Nate Theison
Second Place - “ In the Pines ” by Neal Harrington
Third Place - “ The Theory of Freedom in a Home” by Jovan Wilson
Fourth Place - “ Spectrum ” by Lisa Krannichfeld
Honorable Mention - Win Bruhl for "The Examiner"
Honorable Mention - Sofia Gonzales for "Taking Root"
Honorable Mention - Glen Knod for "Snapdragon"
Honorable Mention - Carley Pennington for "Robert"
This year's FaEllen and Jim Yates Collection Purchase award winner is Roger Tipton for “Mesquite Vase”. That artwork will become part of the permanent collection at the Regional Arts Center.
Congratulations to all the artists who are featured in the show and to all those who participated in making this event a success. Thank you to E-Z Mart for their generous support of this exhibition.
The exhibit will be on display at the Regional Arts Center from July 8 through August 13.
