Staff

TRAHC staff is organized by administrative, programmatic and promotions function; five Directors provide leadership to staff in each area. As a small staff, functions overlap.

Brian Goesl

Executive Director

CEO and Executive Director of the council’s corporation. Responsible for strategic planning, programming, administration of the council and interaction with local, state, federal agencies. Provides leadership to Board of Directors, community advisory committees, Women For the Arts Board and TRAHC staff to develop, communicate and pursue TRAHC’s vision and mission. Oversees public information, marketing and community interface for organization; oversees grant development; and TRAHC building maintenance. Positions TRAHC for community leadership through community partnerships.

Laney Bassham

Administrative Director

Assists the Executive Director in all administrative functions, strategic planning, and overall operations of the corporation and serves as assistant liaison to the Board, Executive Committee, and Foundation Committee. Responsible for preparation, editing, and coordination of policy review, mandatory trainings, performing arts contracts and records retention/destruction. Oversees payroll/accounting operations, personnel records maintenance, organizational insurance and employee benefits in collaboration with City of Texarkana, TX Benefits Coordinator. Assists staff supervisors with talent acquisition, onboarding, performance reviews, and disciplinary process. Assists coordination of operational grants, program planning, promotion, implementation, evaluation, and other tasks as needed.

Taylor Daniel

Administrative Assistant

Aids the Administrative Director and Executive Director in day to day administrative operations, records management and supply orders; and serves as liaison to the Board and other committees. Responsible for grant coordination, and upkeep of organizational calendar in cooperation with all departments. Supports membership recruitment & community partner retention through external communications, event assistance, professional service and social media promotion. Reviews organizational materials for quality and consistency of all content. Serves as backup support for receptionist and other tasks as needed.

Precious Kendricks

Bookkeeper

Responsible for providing financial support to the organization through bookkeeping, banking and reporting services. This role manages all day to day payments and processing, including: accounts receivable and payable, journal entries, bank reconciliations, quarterly reporting, and works across the organization in keeping financial information current and accurate. Additional tasks include financial elements of contracts and grants; assisting outside accounting firm for year-end audit; and administrative support as needed.

Kaye Baxter

Regional Arts Center Rental and Volunteer Coordinator

Maintains and coordinates RAC rentals, part-time staff, and front desk roster of volunteers, including monthly calendars and training. Oversees hospitality for TRAHC meetings and events. Schedules and coordinates rentals of Cabe Hall and other spaces in the RAC. Orders and keeps inventory of rental/facility supplies, plus other duties assigned as needed to help with program support.

Education Director

Director for the ArtsSmart program and school-related education programming. Responsible for the vision, strategic design, development, budget and supervision of the Education Department, which includes, ArtsSmart, Theatre for Young Audiences, Visual Arts and Community Programs. Collaborate with area school district representatives on the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Partners in Education Program. National Teaching Artist/Art Integration Consultant responsible for design and implementation of professional development workshops and classroomdemonstrations that emphasize art integration.

National Teaching Artist/Arts Integration Consultant

Responsible for design and implementation of professional development workshops and classroom demonstrations that emphasize visual arts and arts integration. Assists schools in curriculum development using the visual arts. Designs art integrated hands-on activities that support TRAHC exhibitions and classroom curriculum. Responsible for arts supply purchasing and management.

Education Coordinator

Responsible for Artist in Residency coordination between artists and individual campuses, communicating with campus administrators regarding curriculum expectations and logistical needs. Responsibilities include scheduling, lodging arrangements, evaluations, and documentation. Creates and maintains program records and databases for department to accurately collect and provide reporting data for granting entities and internal use.

Responsible for grant writing and reporting, budget management and contract coordination for the Education department. Supports Education programming.

Education Assistant/Theatre for Young Audiences Coordinator

Responsible for support of ArtsSmart staff and programming, including workshops, staff development, artist reservations, booking schools for student shows in the Perot Theatre, support for Best Practices, and all publicity efforts related to ArtsSmart.

Provides support for Visual Arts exhibitions with preparation and installation of exhibits.

Randal Conry

Operations Director

Oversees all physical maintenance of buildings and equipment, in particular technology.  Works in conjunction with Executive Director to over see Regional Arts Center maintenance.  Responsible for the Perot Theatre operations including TRAHC’s presentations, rental of the hall, and staffing.  Oversees all technical, front of house, and maintenance personnel and maintains inventory of the theatrical and maintenance supplies and assists with preparation and management of the city budget (Perot Theatre).  Part of the management team responsible for all program planning, development and evaluation.  Database manager.

Technical Director

Works both independently and directly with Operations Manager to accomplish a variety of tasks associated with theatre operations.  Duties include contracting, oversight and training of stagehands; maintaining stage equipment and inventory; preparing technical requirements for touring productions.

Marketing Coordinator

Overall responsibility for the marketing, promotions, patron relations and informational services of the Council, in conjunction with the Executive Director.  Handles group sales.  Key representative of the organization and Perot Theatre in regional markets essential to tourism development and in community markets essential for relationships for resource development; media support; sponsor support.  Part of the management team responsible for program plans, development and evaluation.

Audience Services Manager

Primary point of contact for Perot Theatre and TRAHC as Box Office Manager, and as such integral to successful patron services.  Responsible for direct handling of series and single ticket records and sales through computerized box office.  First responsibility to be public contact for sales.  Assists with planning marketing and sales strategies, packaging, membership records and responsible for staffing box office.

Janitorial Services

Maintenance/Custodian for the RAC, Perot Theatre and Arts On Main. Duties include preventive maintenance, repairs, meeting/presentation set-up, cleaning, etc.
