SUMMARY:April Afternoon Wheel Throwing (4 Sessions)
DESCRIPTION:This 4-part class\, led by instructor and master potter John Delafield\, will guide students on an introduction to wheel throwing\, including wedging\, pulling/lifting\, creating handles\, centering\, and glazing. This class will meet on four dates in April: \n\nThursday 4/2 (throwing)\nThursday 4/9 (throwing)\nThursday 4/16 (finishing and glazing) and \nThursday 4/23 (glazing)\n\nMeeting times are 3-5pm each day that class meets. Students are also encouraged to wear clothes that are suitable for working with clay.  \nThis class is $275 and materials and clay/materials/tools are provided by the artist and TRAHC. Tuition is refundable only if less than 5 individuals register. This class will meet in the Clay Eichler Ceramics Studio in TRAHC’s ArtSpace (518 Pine Street\, Texarkana\, TX). SUMMARY:Wall Shrine Workshop with Chris Thomas
DESCRIPTION:Great for your home or garden 🏠  \nJoin Chris Thomas in creating a customized ceramic wall shrine using micaceous clay and hand-applied/hand-done embellishments. Students will create one shrine that finishes to approximately 8-10″ tall. \nThis class will meet Tuesday\, April 9 from 6 – 8pm in the Calhoun Studio (518 Pine Street\, Texarkana\, TX 75501) at TRAHC’s ArtSpace. Students are expected to return to the ArtSpace for pickup upon notification. Works left 30 days after the pickup notification will be discarded. \nMaterials and tools are provided by the artist and TRAHC.
