SUMMARY:June "Taste of Wheel Throwing" Wheel Throwing
DESCRIPTION:This 2-part class\, led by instructor and master potter John Delafield\, will guide students on an introduction to wheel throwing\, including wedging\, pulling/lifting\, creating handles\, centering\, and glazing. This class will meet on two Thursday afternoons in June: \n\nThursday 6/18\nThursday 6/25\n\nMeeting times are 3-5pm each day that class meets. Students are also encouraged to wear clothes that are suitable for working with clay. The Visual Arts Director will coordinate with students once all pieces are bisque fired to glaze their pieces.  \nThis class is $160 and materials and clay/materials/tools are provided by the artist and TRAHC. Tuition is refundable only if less than 5 individuals register. This class will meet in the Clay Eichler Ceramics Studio in TRAHC’s ArtSpace (518 Pine Street\, Texarkana\, TX) and is open to individuals 13+. DESCRIPTION:Want to create a “birdie dream house”?  \nJoin master potter and instructor John Delafield for a two-part ceramic birdhouse class. \nThe class will take place on two Thursdays: \n\nThursday\, June 18 from 6-8pm: students will design the main body and form of their birdhouse\nThursday\, June 25 from 6-8pm: students will further embellish\, detail\, and add designs to their birdhouse\nThe Visual Arts Director will reach out to students once pieces are bisque fired\, to schedule time after these dates to come in and glaze their birdhouses\n\nThis class will take place in the Clay Eichler Ceramics Studio in TRAHC’s ArtSpace (518 Pine Street). This class is $80\, and all materials are provided by TRAHC. Students are expected to wear appropriate clothing for working with ceramics. Tuition is only refundable in the event less than four individuals register. Notifications will be sent out once pieces are glazed and ready for pick up.
