DESCRIPTION:This 4-part class\, led by instructor and master potter John Delafield\, will guide students on an introduction to wheel throwing\, including wedging\, pulling/lifting\, creating handles\, centering\, and glazing. DESCRIPTION:Want to create a “birdie dream house”?  \nJoin master potter and instructor John Delafield for a two-part ceramic birdhouse class. \nThe class will take place on two Thursdays: \n\nThursday\, June 18 from 6-8pm: students will design the main body and form of their birdhouse\nThursday\, June 25 from 6-8pm: students will further embellish\, detail\, and add designs to their birdhouse\nThe Visual Arts Director will reach out to students once pieces are bisque fired\, to schedule time after these dates to come in and glaze their birdhouses\n\nThis class will take place in the Clay Eichler Ceramics Studio in TRAHC’s ArtSpace (518 Pine Street). This class is $80\, and all materials are provided by TRAHC. Students are expected to wear appropriate clothing for working with ceramics. Tuition is only refundable in the event less than four individuals register. Notifications will be sent out once pieces are glazed and ready for pick up. SUMMARY:Bluebonnet Sun Catcher with Kathy Madison
DESCRIPTION:Glass artist Kathy Madison (A Glass Act Creations)\, along with her daughter Rachael\, will guide students in designing and completing a 5″ x 7″ hanging bluebonnet sun catcher! 💙 \nThis class will meet Sunday\, June 28 from 1-4pm in the Calhoun Studio at TRAHC’s ArtSpace (518 Pine Street\, Texarkana\, TX 75501). \nDuring this class\, students will work with Kathy on the design of their art piece\, but the finishing steps of the project will be completed/fired by the instructor. The three designs on the cover image are examples of what students may make during the class. Each piece will also have a glass strip at the top with a chain for hanging on a wall or window. \nRegister \nStudents are expected to return to the ArtSpace for pickup upon notification. Items will be available for pickup 4-5 days after the class. Materials\, tools\, and safety gear are provided by the artist and TRAHC. Tuition is nonrefundable unless less than 9 individuals register. This course is open to individuals 10+; however\, individuals under 16 must have a parent accompany them. \nIndividuals are encouraged to register at least one week before the class\, so the artist has time to prepare an appropriate amount of materials.
