DESCRIPTION:Join us for a beginner-friendly dance class! This one-hour class will take place Thursday January 15 from 6-7pm in the Patterson-Troike Performing Arts Studio at TRAHC’s ArtSpace (518 Pine Street\, Texarkana\, TX 75501). While registration is open to individuals\, couples are encouraged. \nBeginner Social Dance is a warm invitation into the world of dance. Whether solo or with a partner\, come ready to awaken your body and spirit through dance. \nTickets are $20 for an individual or $35 for a couple. SUMMARY:TYA: African Drumming and Storytelling Interactive Experience with Zinse Agginie
DESCRIPTION:Students become the characters—big cats\, reptiles\, birds\, insects\, and more—in Zinse Agginie’s stories as they learn simple life lessons. His audiences journey through the deserts\, savannas\, and rainforests of Africa\, guided by song and rhythm from his djembe and odono drums. Students will also have the opportunity to participate directly in this hands-on drumming experience. \nJan. 13-14 | 9 am\, 10 am or 12:30 pm | K-8th \nThis is part of our Theatre for Young Audiences season\, and times are designed for school field trips. This class will meet on four dates in January: \n\nThursday 1/8 (throwing)\nThursday 1/15 (throwing)\nThursday 1/22 (finishing and glazing) and \nThursday 1/29 (glazing)\n\nRegister \nMeeting times are 6-8pm each day that class meets. Students are also encouraged to wear clothes that are suitable for working with clay.  \nThis class is $275 and materials and clay/materials/tools are provided by the artist and TRAHC.
