Auditions can be nerve-wracking, whether you’re stepping onto a stage for the first time or returning after years away. In this practical, interactive workshop, participants will learn what directors are really looking for and how to make a memorable impression from the moment they enter the room.

Topics will include audition preparation, cold reading techniques, making strong acting choices, managing nerves, and presenting yourself with confidence. Participants will have the opportunity to put these skills into practice through mock auditions and receive constructive feedback in a supportive environment. Designed for performers of all experience levels, this workshop offers valuable insights from an experienced theatre director and educator. Whether you’re preparing for community theatre, school productions, or simply want to become more confident in your day to day life, you’ll leave with tools you can use in the future..

This acting workshop will meet in the Patterson-Troike Performing Arts Studio at TRAHC’s ArtSpace (518 Pine Street) on Saturday, August 8 from 1-3pm.
