Wood you want to make your own pen? 🖊️🪵

Students will work under the guidance of skilled instructors to safely create, on a lathe, one authentic wood-turned pen, using figured wood (wood with a decorative grain rather than a straight grain). This pen will utilize a pen kit and be approximately 6″ long and functional once finished. The instructors have four lathes and two students can share a lathe during the class.

This class will meet Thursday, September 17 from 6-8:30pm in the Calhoun Studio at TRAHC’s ArtSpace (518 Pine Street).

This class is $65 and all materials are provided by the artist and TRAHC. This class is open to individuals 16+. Students aged 16 and 17 must have a parent accompany them. For additional questions, please email marcusz@trahc.org.
